Ashlee Simpson doesn't envy single sister Jessica: 'She's always saying, 'Oh, I want a baby!'
They say they don't have a sibling rivalry, but Ashlee Simpson already managed to one-up big sister Jessica in the children's category.
Ashlee, who welcomed son Bronx 10 months ago, tells the October issue of Redbook that her unlucky-in-love sis can't wait to be a mom.
"She's always saying, 'Oh, I want a baby!'" Ashlee, 24, says.
But when she was asked if she envies her 29-year-old sis, who was dumped by Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo in July, she admits, "I really don't."
As for the "Melrose Place" star, who wed Fall Out Boy rocker Pete Wentz in 2008, she explains that "being a mom's so empowering and incredible. I'm one of those people who believes that life brings things to you at a certain time for a certain reason, and if you just go with it, that's where the best moments come from."
Since becoming a mother, Ashlee has ditched her former partying days and quickly matured.
"I've grown up so much," she says. "Your body is changing, and it's such an amazing time to feel that connection."
"Being pregnant was the healthiest I've ever been in my life. Except for the cupcakes."
